..what a dramatic game..it seem man utd can't make a come back after let down 2 goals easily in the first half..in the second half, man utd used the rest of 45minutes violently..as a champion, they quietly launched attack to man city's fort..finally, united's man got 3 goals..good strike by smalling and nani..and also the rest..well done, keep it up..

man utd vs man city player's rating

Joe Hart - 7
Besides a fifth-minute goalmouth scramble in the box, the England international was not severely tested by Manchester United. But was up to the task when called upon.
Micah Richards - 8
Was a solid rock in the City defence. Did well to block off a number of the United attacks with his sheer muscular presence.
Vincent Kompany - 7
The City captain led by example at the heart of the City defence and kept the likes of Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck under the palm of his hands. But he spoiled his afternoon with a mistake that led to Nani's winning goal.
Joleon Lescott - 6.5
The former Everton defender appeared the weakest link at the back for City - losing possession on a couple of occasions in the first-half. But he more than made up for his defensive lapses with the opening goal.
Aleksandar Kolarov (Off 73') - 7.5
An effective performance by the Serbian left-back. Kept Nani quiet for most of the game.
Nigel de Jong - 7
Did what he was supposed to do - break up and frustrate United's play. And not forgetting he did well to stay on the pitch!
Yaya Toure - 7
The former Barcelona man did well as an anchor in City's midfield, pulling the strings and spreading the play.
David Silva - 8
The Spaniard continues to be the chief playmaker and engine in City's attack. And he proved that yet again with another impressive performance - linking well with the strikers. It was his cross that led to Lescott's opening goal.
James Milner (Off 67') - 6
A typically industrious performance by the England international. But he was never the key to unlock United's defence. Replaced by Johnson in the second-half.
Mario Balotelli (Off 59') - 5
Much is expected from the tempestuous Italian after his impressive pre-season with City. But he was a peripheral figure against United. Was taken off at the hour-mark.
Edin Dzeko - 7.5
What a stunner of a goal by the Bosnian striker - although De Gea should have done better to prevent it. Else, Dzeko was kept generally quiet by the United defence.
Substitutions:
Gareth Barry (On 59') - 6
A decent game for the England man after coming on at the hour-mark.
Gaël Clichy (On 73') - 6
The summer signing from Arsenal failed to make any meaningful impact after coming on for Kolarov.
Adam Johnson (On 67') - 6
Was brought on for Milner to inject more pace into City's attack. But United stood firm.

Man United
David de Gea - 5
The Spaniard couldn't have asked for a worst competitive debut for United, he can? While he could have nothing about the first goal, much was left to be desired of him for Dzeko's goal, which was definitely in his range.
Chris Smalling - 7
The young defender made a strong claim for a place in Ferguson's starting line-up in the upcoming season with a solid performance at right-back.
Rio Ferdinand (Off 45') - 5
His marking on Lescott was questionable as he allowed the former Everton defender to head in from Silva's cross. Taken off at half-time for new signing Phil Jones.
Nemanja Vidic (Off 45') - 6
The United captain was not severely tested by the City strikers but could have done more to prevent City's opening goal.
Patrice Evra (Off 71') - 7.5
The French left-back was both impressive going forward and in defence.
Nani - 9.5
A stunning performance by the Portuguese winger - scoring two goals to cap off an incredible comeback for United.
Michael Carrick (Off 45') - 5
Many questioned Ferguson's decision to start with the ageing midfielder and they were justified. The former Tottenham man looked out-of-pace in the first-half and was taken off at half-time for Tom Cleverly.
Anderson - 8
The Brazilian is slowly but surely establishing himself in the United midfield and he further impressed with an inspired performance.
Ashley Young - 9
What a signing he could turn out to be for United. The summer signing from Aston Villa was the biggest threat for Ferguson's men, causing City tons of problem with his pace and trickery on the left.
Wayne Rooney - 9
A typical 'Wayne Rooney' performance. The England international was at the centre thofe United attack all afternoon.
Danny Welbeck (Off 89') - 7.5
The former Sunderland striker has been impressive for United in pre-season and he continued his form against City.
Substitutions:
Phil Jones (On 45') - 7
The summer signing from Blackburn was brought on for Ferdinand and did well to keep the City attack at bay.
Tom Cleverley (On 45') - 8
Should have started the game for United ahead of the ineffective Carrick, whom he replaced at half-time. Credit to the young midfielder, he had an instant impact for United, setting up Nani's stunning equalizer. Had a couple of chances himself but lacked the composure.
Jonathan Evans (On 45') - 7
A solid showing at the heart of United's defence after coming on at half-time.
Rafael (On 71') - 7
Was surprisingly handed the captain's armband after coming on for Evra and did well to keep Johnson quiet.
Dimitar Berbatov (On 89') - N/A
